Otolaryngology & Audiology Old Hook Medical Associates installed a state of the art office for audiometry including testing for hearing loss caused by all conditions. The testing will be performed by Doctors of Audiology and all abnormal results will be reviewed by Dr. William Cantor, board certified in Otolaryngology. Medical and surgical options will be reviewed. |
Patients of all ages may have hearing loss about which they may not be aware but may be adversely affecting social, occupational and educational situations. Noise exposure, aging, disease and drugs are all possible causes. There have been advances in medical and surgical treatment of some types of loss. Hearing aids are now digital and programmable and will be available on a trial basis.
Medicare and most insurance plans cover the costs of testing. We will be offering it as part of our thorough complete physicals and when indicated by symptoms.
